Catching Up...

I have noticed I've neglected my blog, and I'm sorry.  So in an effort to "make up" I'll start sharing some of my favorite photos from my fall and Christmas sessions!  I'll start with this family!  They have grown quickly to become some of my favorite folks and here are some of my favorite photos from their session.  This was truly a southern shoot, complete with cotton and sunshine in South Georgia.

So sorry I've neglected my blog!  We've had a busy summer and have lots to great photos to share!  Congratulations to these two!  Today, September 13 is their wedding day! Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session.  We met one hot and muggy summer afternoon and dodged lightening bolts and rain drops.  We wish these two the very best!!!

Marla and Josh's Wedding

What an honor to do this weddingI I now officially feel old.... I taught this sweet girl in Mission Friends when she was 5 and 6!  It was a joy to watch Marla and Josh on their wedding day.  These two are so in love!  Here are some of my favorites!

LOVE these shoes!

Something old and borrowed... a beautiful necklace that was her great grandmother's!

A gift from the groom.... earrings representing the past, present and future to match her engagement ring.

This sweet pea, the bride's niece, was following me helping me.  So, we decided to take each other's picture. I can't wait to see how mine turned out!

Marla silenced the room when she saw herself ready to walk the aisle.

Beautiful bridesmaids!

I love this one!

This photo cracks me up!  Her brothers made her day!

Josh was very handsome and couldn't stop smiling all day!

The handsome ringerbearer, nephew of the bride.

This is what you do when we are finished taking pictures and waiting for the ceremony to start.  You play patty cake!

Another favorite of mine!

Pi or groom's cake?

I wish these two life's very best!  Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day!

Brooke and Patrick Say "I do"

It's been a while since I've posted, that's a sign of being busy!  I've had some wonderful sessions and weddings since I last posted, but wanted to start off with this one with Brooke and Patrick.  They were married at the beautiful, Horse Creek Winery in Nashville, Georgia. If you haven't been there, it's worth the trip.  My husband, who served as my photography assistant, and I had a blast with these two.  They are so in love!  It was a joy to watch these two interact with one another. Because these two are from our hometown, we also enjoyed seeing old friends.  We wish these two the very best and many happy years!

I loved shooting at Horse Creek Winery!

The bride and bridesmaids got ready downtown Nashville at the neatest place called, Our Place.

Brooke was just beautiful!

Patrick stricking a handsome pose.

I was so impressed!  Patrick made the boutineers!

Right before the ceremony, Patrick's grandmother walks up and hands him his grandfather's stopwatch.  It was a priceless moment.

Patrick was proudly showing it off.  I love special moments like this!

I loved this!  I've never seen the braiding of three ropes in place of a unity candle or sand.  Ecclesiastes 4:12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

I thought this was harilous.  He wanted to do this for his bride!

Jennifer and Nathan's Getting Ready Shots!

I'm thrilled to share Jennifer and Nathan's December wedding. I enjoyed these two and their sweet families.  After Nathan passed the bar exam the next thing on their list for this couple was to get married. They were fine with a ceremony at the courthouse, but their families stepped in and talked them into a small wedding at Nathan's parents' home.  This wedding was a true family affair!  Here are some detail and getting ready shots.

I loved the berries.  You see the water drops on the greenery.  We were fighting with rain off and on all day!

Jennifer was very beautiful.  She has these amazing blue eyes!

Love these shoes!

Nathan had this smile on his face the entire day.  He's standing here waiting for Jennifer to come up behind him.

He was watching my reaction has she rounded the corner. He knew she was near!

I was brought to tears watching Jennifer and her Dad.  This was his first look at his daughter.
