Happy Father's Day!

Last year I featured some of my favorite "Dad" pictures in a special Father's Day blog.  I had so many wonderful responses I thought I do it again!  So here are some special "Dad" moments I captured over this past year.

I was moved when I saw this young man lay his hand on his Dad's shoulder during the prayer.  A good father instills the value of faith in the lives of his children.

Girls from early on know how to capture their Dad's hearts and have them wrapped around their little fingers.

The look of love when Dads see their princesses on their wedding day for the first time!

A Dad's shoulder is always the most comfortable spot!

The bittersweet emotions of the father-daughter dance.

Dads serve as the provider, the protector, and the one to run to at the end of the day!

And when Dads become Grandads it opens up a whole new world of joy and love!

Dads have a way of being their little one's best buddy!

Dads always protects and loves his children with all of his heart!

A Dad's arms are the best place to rest and ponder life's wonders.

Dads always seek the very best for his children.

To little girls their Dad is their world, their hero.....their knight in shining armor!

Dads know how to have fun with their little ones while teaching them how to enjoy life!

Grandads have a way of leading their grandchildren and building a legacy.

A Dad is one who lets their child win just to see the look of victory on their face! This is my little one dressed as a scuba diver with my handsome husband!

There's always room on a Dad's lap.

Dads stand proudly next to their son's as they begin their new life building and creating memories with their family.

A Dad is one who you find yourself calling just to chat and talk about the day's happenings.  Those phone calls leaves one with a peace and a feeling that everything is going to be alright.  That's one of my many joys of being the daughter to this wonderful and handsome man pictured here with my brother and me.  Happy Fathers Day to my dad and husband and to all the other daddys out there!

Natalie and Tripp's Southern Wedding!

O.K. I know what some of you are thinking....since I live in the South, wouldn't all of my weddings be "Southern" weddings? Well... yes this is true however, there was some extra "Southerness" about this wedding to me.  Maybe it was being underneath the pecan orchard or the hydrangeas or maybe the pecan pie and barbecue.  I'm  not sure if  "Southernness" is actually a word, but it does describe the wedding of Natalie and Tripp.  I had a hard time deciding on which of the many images to share with you. Here are the ones I narrowed it down too.  Ya'll enjoy!

This was my first visit to Highgrove Farm and I fell in love with the place.  It is a beautiful place to get married!

Natalie was just radiant on her wedding day!

I loved her flowers!

I thought Tripp looked very handsome on his wedding day.

The two opted to see one another before the ceremony.  This is always such a special time .

I wish you could hear what he is saying to her!  He was overwhelmed by her!  They are so smitten with one another!  (smitten- another Southern word for "in love!")

See why I loved Highgrove Farms?  Such a beautiful backdrop for wedding pictures like this one!

This reminded me of an Estee Lauder ad!  Love it!

This one registered high on the super cute radar!

One proud Uncle with his ringbearer!

This picture cracks me up! This is why I adore children.  This is precious.

Beautiful touches!

One thing I have not mentioned was the fact that all the previous pictures were taken "under the gun."  We had about a 40 minute break between pictures and the ceremony and you see why were were all inside.  We were the red on the weather radar.  It didn't just rain, it hailed!

The storm was gone by the time guest arrived.  Here Tripp and wedding party start their walk.

Love the canopy of the pecan trees!

After the sweet ceremony Natalie's Uncle declared them Mr. and Mrs.  Notice Tripp getting a feel for his ring!

Guest enjoyed barbecue and all the fixens at this reception.

Guest were asked to sign Natalie and Tripp's new family Bible.  They were to pick out their favorite verses and sign their name to it!  I've never seen that before and loved it.

See!  Truly Sweet and Southern!

I love moments like this.  Completely unrehearshed.

Love this one! These two are such a great couple!

Natalie and Tripp were surrounded by family and friends who adore them.  From his best friend's mom who baked their wedding cake to her best friend who helped decorate the reception.  This wedding had an atmosphere of love and laughter and best wishes for these two.

I wanted to thank Natalie's friend and mine, Ashlee for connecting us all.  Not only did I have two great clients to work with, but I feel I've made two new friends.  Best wishes Natalie and Tripp, may God continue to bless you both!

Little Man Emory

Meet my new little friend Emory.  This was his six month session in the Baby Steps Plan.  This "little man" was so adorable and in the best of moods.  I had tons of fun working with this little fellow.  Check out his sweet little smile!

Isn't he adorable?

When I was taking his pictures I couldn't help but reminisce about my little fellow when he was this age.  I remembered the "sweet drool"  that seemed to go everywhere.

I love how he's reacting to his Mama loving on him.

I LOVE this one!

And this one!

O.K. there are child labor laws so we allowed him to take a 5 minute break.

Thanks Stacie for calling on me.  It was great to see you and again and meet "Little Man!"
